WNY Catering Which Exceeds Expectations Yet Fits Your Budget!

Catering for any occasion: parties large or small groups, formal or casual. While every event has its own particular space and budget, our goal is to assist in making your event as special as you hope it will be. Our expertise is helping you meet and, even, exceed your expectations for your event, within your budget.  Let us know about your dream event; we will make that dream a reality.

Our experience shows! Western New Yorkers have been relying upon the Quaker Bonnet to help them create catered events for decades. Whatever your needs, formal dinners with champagne and caviar, or casual events and parties, fundraisers and benefits, holiday and theme events, or picnics with PB&J sandwiches, we’ve applied our expertise to events both large and small. Let us help you plan your party or event. We can help you with the time, place, food, and staff.

Some of our more interesting events recently have included parties at our own catering sites: The Quaker Bonnet Eatery (our lovely gallery restaurant at 175 Allen Street in Allentown), and the First Presbyterian Church at One Symphony Circle (we run the church kitchen). We’ve also recently done a few private parties that included private homes, another church, and well known theatre in downtown Buffalo.

If you are hosting a party in Western New York with a guest list of 40 and 60 people, consider letting us host it at our Quaker Bonnet Eatery. We’ve hosted many wonderful private parties in this stylishly renovated location where we can accommodate both indoor and outdoor patio dining (weather permitting). Its slick open space gives plenty of room to mingle and or wander about, yet the warm stylish lighting and art shows that adorn the walls provides and upbeat atmosphere. The Eatery’s wireless network provides an ideal space for business meetings. Fundraisers are another good use for the this space. A buffet for 60 with an Irish theme worked well for a cast party and fundraiser for the Irish Classical Theatre. Of course, whatever your needs, we work with you plan food the reflects the theme of the event and the interest you have in food.

For a slightly larger group, consider letting us host your event at The First Presbyterian Church.  We catered the annual Oktoberfest Lunch for 100 at this location. Brat, both fresh and smoked, as well as roast pork accompanied home made German potato salad, rye and pumpernickel bread, home made apple kraut, and steamed green beans. We finished off with granola cookies, ginger snaps, Halloween cookies and pumpkin drops, Apple Cider, coffee and tea. Nothing fancy just a good hearty old fashioned German feast!!!!

Your location? No problem. A not-for-profit asked many private home owners to open their dining rooms. The same menu followed by each hostess. We had lovely hors d'oeuvres including fresh plums with ginger triple crème and smoked trout pate during cocktails followed by a field green and fresh fig salad. The chicken  and morels with cream, a vegetable tien were required from The Barefoot Contessa in Paris, grilled asparagus, and apple pie from Butterwoods and cinnamon ice cream. The hostess was so pleased with the staff and the event that she plans to do dinner for 16 regularly. We found it simple to work within the cooperative parameters.

A dear friend passed away. She was very specific about the food to be served after her memorial service. It was a wonderful summer day. On the lawn of the church we served champagne and raspberries, steamed asparagus, cinnamon ice cream and hot fudge sauce to about 600. We all rejoiced that our dear friend was free of her body and having a wonderful time changing attitudes in the hereafter.

The TOY Theater often hosts events for adults interested in making a difference in children’s lives. The theater is not a place for food, so we take particular care that nothing is drippy, chocolate, or red as all these things do not do well on the carpets once spilled and stepped on. We catered to a group at the stroke prevention play just written and produced in Buffalo to make children aware of their role in saving an adult.

We served healthy chicken and vegetable sandwiches on little rolls that can be managed in two or three bites. A lactose free, gluten free, and peanut free brownie, made locally by two health care professionals, fresh fall finger fruit, crisp green beans and curly carrots, apple cider, and water. Healthy simple finger food got visiting dignitaries through lunch and off to airplanes.

Call us to make your party a smashing success that reflects yourself and your style. We help you do this within your budget and without you ever having to do anything else .... except write the check.
